What applies to your product

The product page, quotation or invoice records the applicable warranty and condition. Selected products may qualify for warranty options of up to 36 months. Manufacturer, distributor, component and KM Computers warranty processes may differ.

Statutory quality warranty

South African consumers receive the protections that apply under the Consumer Protection Act, including the implied warranty of quality. These rights operate in addition to qualifying manufacturer or supplier warranties.

Warranty process

  1. Contact KM Computers with the invoice number, serial number and fault description.
  2. Back up personal data and remove passwords where reasonably possible.
  3. Bring or return the complete product with its charger and relevant accessories.
  4. Allow the product to be assessed so the failure and applicable remedy can be confirmed.

Common exclusions

Unless the law requires otherwise, warranty coverage generally does not include accidental or liquid damage, misuse, unauthorised repair, incompatible modifications, electrical surge damage, ordinary cosmetic wear, consumables, lost data or faults caused by third-party software. Cosmetic condition disclosed before sale on Demo, Unboxed New or KM Tested stock is not itself a defect.

Protect your data

Customers remain responsible for maintaining backups. Repair and warranty work can require testing, resets, replacement storage or manufacturer processing. Tell us before hand-in if the device contains sensitive information.
